Iho has been moving along nicely. My plan is to try to release the game by the end of October or early November for desktops. Currently, the basic game play is complete, the asset pipeline has been figured out and I’m working on the non-gameplay elements like menus and other polishing related items.
The object of the game is to get the little red ball to the center of the maze. As you progress the mazes will get larger, more complicated and other elements will come into play. My current goal is to have 50 levels total.
I’m always interested in the tools people are using to build their games. I’m currently use the following tools, plus a few other home grown tools I’ve built to help generate the mazes.
- Haxe (https://haxe.org) - Development Language
- Heaps (https://heaps.io) - Game Engine
- Inkspace (https://inkscape.org) - Vector Image Editing
- Gimp (https://www.gimp.org) - General Image Editing
